A new Hackemack! While his first project, "Yesterday's Kids", was born out of a bout of insecurity about parenthood and ending up on the couch, the weighty Westphalian (formerly singing with the Radiolas) has since not put down his camera and has been obsessively snapping (especially) live shots. For a newcomer, he shows astonishing skill, an eye for the moment, and of course, the right filters.
After seasoned punks and their seasoned vests, now the third installment: "Hit the Stage" collects 1000 live moments on 400 pages, featuring among others Agnostic Front, Discharge, The Movement, Dritte Wahl, Slime, Razors, Abwärts, Aggressive, Gum Bleed, Grade 2, Kevin Seconds, Lion's Law, Menace, The Generators, TV Smith, The Veggers, Bishops Green, C4 Service, Die Lokalmatadore, COR, Friedemann, The Manges, The Outcasts, The Peacocks, The Analogs, Zona 84, Rantanplan, Shandy, Mr. Irish Bastard, Die Mimmis.
Including texts by accompanying stagehands, tour photographers, bookers, and merchers.

Touring, touring is never boring, the Ramones sang in 1981. It’s every musician’s dream, travelling in a nightliner, playing on stage for one hour and then going on to party every night. The reality of that is told by 30 bands from 14 countries in Tim Hackemack’s new book „Hit the stage“. From South Korea, through Argentina to Poland musicians talk about boredom on the road, the trouble to find gigs, the music business and tell stories about their tour life. To round up the interviews Tim Hackemack toured himself to take more than 1000 photos from big venues, festivals and lots of small clubs. Stagehands, tour photographers, bookers and merchers tell what their work is like off stage.
The photos show that one hour on stage everybody loves and the interviews tell about the 23 hours needed each day to look good.
