These are stories about what he discovered out there. Each chapter mainly revolves around individual gigs, with some notable exceptions. Some exceptions are chapters about his friendships with:
Nirvana (1989–1990) with many previously unreleased photos; Elliott Smith (1993–2000) with unreleased photos. While on tour, Sluggo and his wife lost their home. They became parents, one child became seriously ill.
Many of these stories are from before GPS and cell phones.
This book contains hundreds of photos, flyers, and rock ephemera embedded in each chapter.
Ultimately, it is a book about people, community, and, well, love.
